So just cause sunset is friends with twilight she can’t date her. Because twilight is dating some douche created entirely to ship him with twilight that automatically means Sunset doesn’t want to date twilight or that it wouldn’t work because they are friend….suuuuure. I would buy that if flash was remotely an interesting Character or if timber was an interesting Character a lot of people feel like that. Why? Cause for some shipping is more than ‘these two look cute together’
 
A lot of people ship twilight and sunset because the pairing has the best chemistry friendshipping or romantic. It works either way. Sunset dating twilight would have been a nice change of pace but the show is too busy trying to stir up trouble by creating characters like ragamuffin Timber and Flash but I guess we not gonna talk about that.
 
Mind you again if they took time to make Flash anything more than a cool boy stereotype I would care for him to get with Sunset cause he isn’t all that bad. But recently they literally have to nerf Sunset just to make his lame ass look cool.
 
Timber literally doesn’t do shit for twilight as a character. At all. He’s jisy there to be her ‘boyfriend’ when it’s convenient not cause she actually likes him but thats none of my FUCKING business

just like I said, dating sci-twi is bad because that broke the entire point of the franchise:FRIENDSHIP now people will think any time any time sunset was a good friend or feel empathy with twilight or other girl is because she wanted to bang her, not mention sunset totally approves her relationship with timber, oh yeah, you forget that right? timber still exists and twilight is still in love of him. do you think sunset will stole her girlfriend?

That’s pretty messed-up that they’re still trying to break them up, plus with every episode finished, that petition to break up Mac & Sugar Belle is pointless anyway, and too late for them to do anything. (And even if there was another season in the works, we both know how well internet petitions work.)

Yeah, the fact that MLP has very touchy-feely interactions between characters means that actual romance, especially the LGBT representation type, needs to really stick out. Like you said, Rollercoaster of Friendship implied a lot more gayness from Applejack and Rarity with showing and not telling. If Sunset’s going to be confirmed bisexual, in their MEDIA, it should be AT LEAST as clear as the Rarijack shipping was in that special. Because Rarijack isn’t even considered 100% canon by everyone either.

There’s been ship-teasing with Sci-Twi since Legend of Everfree (ship-teasing that could’ve been done for the Sunsetsparkle fans, but it can still count as the writers considering that Sunset could like girls.) And the way Sunset blushed when she watched Post-Crush in Sunset’s Backstage Pass, and when she said that the concert was perfect, it kinda plays with the idea that she has a celebrity crush on at least one of the members.

It doesn’t help that some of the supposed hints are actually shared by both characters on the main universe and by lots of them. (In fact, MLP universe is rather touchy feely so much is actually harder to pin down actual romance a lot of the time).  
Is not that I don’t like her bi, but is the fact that there’s no real buildup, no evidence that doesn’t fall into circumstancial, and the world around her is rather touchy feely anyway and the comment kinda came off guard. Rarijack and background characters have more LGBT “show don’t tell” moments than her.  
Keep on mind, I among the few ships I like, there’s the Princess Twilight and Sunset, but is better off if they could work around it instead of making some sort of a “hey, look, she’s bi everyone”.

Yeah, exactly. How can this be representation if Sunset being bi is not REPRESENTED? I appreciate that MLP has been adding more gay here and there, but it feels like they care more about quantity over quality with their representation tbh.

recently there was one person that was so just to prove big Mac and cheerilee was still dating even after the love potion. You checked posting the same screencaps over and over again ^{screencaps that didn’t even prove they were dating interested in each other maybe but not dating}  
And don’t even get me started about that stupid break up petition.it’s gotten even worse since I’d last told you about it. the person is now telling people to do round two of the attacks

As a bi girl I’ll gladly celebrate this…you know, when it’s revealed that Sunset is bisexual NOT THROUGH TWITTER and in actual MLP media. I know Sunset has her hints here and there, but still, this isn’t representation.

I’m not much of a ‘shipper either, but as I said I have nothing against those that do, (as long as they don’t get too obsessive) and I’ve even upvoted or faved pics of ‘ships I don’t care for, because I like the artwork itself.
 
I did kinda like CheeriMac a teeny tiny bit, but I’m fine with him having a different girlfriend in canon regardless. I remember some had a cow over that sinking their ‘ship, but if they want they can still stick to their canon, or just move on to something else. It’s best not to let things like that ruin the show for you.

Yeah, plus romance was never a big part of the show, and Faust herself was actually against the Mane 6 having romantic interests, because she didn’t want it to become a typical “girl show.”

I have, in all honesty, no idea where you’re getting that out of all this. The post by Hadley was the Internet equivalent of blowing a raspberry at “the haters” who want to make an issue out of other fans’ ships solely because they’re not hetero ships.
 
The very fact that nothing official was ever made of Sunset’s preferences seems to argue against a “pandering” angle. Pandering would have been if Hasbro had made a big deal out of it and then not utilized it. That’s not what happenef. As far as Hasbro’s concerned the sexual preferences of these characters has never been established at all, except that a couple of them have occasionally displayed crushes. There was no promotion of it, there was no big deal being made, there6not even a reference to it. All we have is the Internet equivalent of blowing a raspberry at people who make problems for other fans.
