Likewise, if some random staff member announces a character’s sexuality and there’s no more episodes to showcase it in, does it really mean much?
 
I really don’t have a dog in this fight, I mainly stick to the main FiM universe, but is there a point in announcing this after the show itself is already over? Its like when Rowling announced that Dumbledore was gay after all the books had already come out and the most you actually saw of it was some weird scene that Younger Dumbledore had with Johnny Depp in that HP prequel movie nobody watched. Point is, it didn’t really do anything.
