We would, but it’s far too common, and too many people take it as actual representation, which gives Studios an excuse not to actually represent sexual minorities within the media itself. That’s not good representation. I’m only okay with it if there is a possibility David being acknowledged in later episodes, such as when vivziepop confirmed the sexualities of Charlie, Vaggie, and Alastor, but in this case, and in the case of the Harry Potter franchise, they are already complete and there is no possibility for future representation. Basically, it’s lazy lip service.

your current filter.Sure, but by that logic Sunset being straight is also just headcanon because she was never declared to be exclusively interested in guys at any point. Yeah, we know she dated Flash, but since there was no official declaration that Sunset only likes boys, I think it’s fair to say that her being straight or bi are both equally theoretical and unproven if all we’re using is the show as evidence.
it’s literally headcanon because it was never shown in the show, no tweet will ever change that fact. they only said that to get brownie points with certain online groups that for whatever reason, have the power to destroy someones career if they feel that they were offended by a comment
that was a very rude and disrespectful way of stating it, so I am most certainly not going to accept it as anything less than headcanon
