In this show Honesty, Loyalty, Kindness and rest are preached as power.

They repeatedly spit in the Elements face and have no consequences, including Discord, Celestia and Luna bold faced defying them in the final episode.

Stop making excuses for people that can’t do what they’re supposed to but can certainly break every law or regulation to save their own hide at th cost of others.

Only after his power is taken of course, not because Fluttershy is crying in despair and betrayal. He only really cares about his power you see, without it he is obviously sad because he can’t hurt anyone anymore. And I mean he could one up them because the Mane Six are much braver, smarter, and kinder than him. They are the ones that give him his power back, not him. The Mane Six doesn’t have his back, he has the Mane Six’s backs but he doesn’t know how to appreciate their help. He’d rather manipulate their care for him than actually defeat the very villain he brings back to life himself after all. It’s obviously no contest who are the superior being of the place but he still has to act like such an arrogant little child when he knows his place is at the bottom. What audacity. “Flawed” is not an appropriate word for this guy. “Absolutely awful” is.

Do you need to be patronizing or is it simply how you are?

By their own morals ethics and teachings their decisions fail and frankly the hand waive of it is frustrating when people constantly complain about mischaracterization that is, in fact, in line with the shows material and doesn’t sugar coat it.

I complain about Discord because he’s a horrible person that hurts people and is baseline rewarded for it.

I’ve dealt with people with friends in high places, had my life made hell by small town holier then thou bullshit and I will not treat that mentality as something acceptable, especially when the show wants to pretend it preaches certain aspects and then tosses them aside for Celestia, Luna and Discord.

And again, no other choice is an excuse.
