I think I figured it out. The CMC will see the interaction between Spike and AJ and try and play matchmaker, hence the name of the series.

by the way I have to ask. what do you guys think of Spike’s hair style.  
I don’t think its bad, its just I would expect Spike’s hair to be more, well spiky.  
but maybe that’s just me, what about you guys.

This is fucking beautiful. Not only is the art amazing, but even though I know the letter is going to be for Rarity, I love the attention given to Applespike, my favorite ship. I do hope it eventually goes in that direction, though whatever the author decides its fine.
