How about that eh?
Smash Bros. isn’t a company. Sora and Nintendo wouldn’t complain either, they would sue. <_<
Uh no Smash Bros would make a complaint
I got something better and villainous than Tirek and Chrysalis.
You know the Master Core?
I think they said it is separate from the Equestria Girls franchise, so it might be 100% pony! :D Hey, as long as Michael Bay or Seth MacFarlane isn’t involved in it and as long as its based on G4, it’ll be damn good. :)
From that article: “we should be getting a whole bunch of news on it’s English release at SDCC2014.” Yet there was no news about “Equestria Academy” at SDCC2014, only Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks.
Anyway, Kid Expo in Paris takes place October 23-27; if there’s no news about “Equestria Academy” by then, I think it’ll be safe to say it was the result of some misunderstanding. (I still think there will be an Equestria Girls series of some sort some time; I just doubt it’ll start this November, and I’m skeptical of the title “Equestria Academy”.)
(PS: “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence” was certainly around well before Rumsfeld’s use of that statement; for starters, Carl Sagan referred to it in his writings. It’s also not true; while, up to this point, absence of evidence is somewhat weak evidence of the lack of an “Equestria Academy”, within a week it’ll count as pretty strong evidence that there is no such series set to premiere in November.)
shrugs I dunno. I just Googled pictures of Gin Rummy, from The Boondocks, since I used a quote from him. which was originally spoken by former US Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld.
We don’t really “know” even that much. My position remains that the whole thing is extremely unlikely. Equestria Daily’s track record for accurate news reporting isn’t the best.
What kind of pistol that guy is wielding.
Seriously though, I have noticed the lack of news regarding this spinoff show, but it is being produced in France. Maybe, they’re being a bit more discreet about the series’ production. The original article–not the one I linked earlier, which confirmed the news–said that it would debut in November, at an event in Paris.

That’s not a recent confirmation. There hasn’t been so much as a single teaser image for this supposed series. So I still think they got their information wrong, but it would be really nice if it was happening.
Sick hype, Baby Moses!
@Millennial Dan
Nope, they weren’t talking about Rainbow Rocks. It was confirmed that there would be a real spinoff series, called Equestria Academy, according to Equestria Daily.
Yeah, it looks like they were just talking about Rainbow Rocks.
The talk of an EqG “spinoff series” was based on a French article translated back into English; since it talked about the series premiering at the end of this year, yet we’ve heard nothing more about it, I think it’s safe to chalk that up to something being lost/changed in translation.
I posted this link before, but go ahead and take a read.
It’ll probably end up like the S4 finale or The Crystal Empire or something like that. They take slightly different approaches to promoting new toys.
Well, obviously, but that’s just why I feel that Equestria Girls came out first, because it was a whole new line of toys. With a movie, that’ll be maybe a new villain toy? Not as worthwhile to push for like EqG was, I’d think.
Don’t kid yourself, the movie will be just as much a toy ad as anything else in the MLP line.
