Thing about Flashlight is, she just instantly fell in love with him because the script said so and there’s pretty much nothing to him beyond ‘generic love interest-y person because it’s a movie and you gotta have a love interest in a movie.’ They bump into each other over and over as a running gag because there’s NOTHING for anything beyond the initial meet-cute to spring from so the first ten seconds of their meeting plays on loop; that’s their “relationship.” Meanwhile, just because there’s history with Sunset, if they ever got back together, her truly caring for him now and him forgiving her… there is potentially something interesting there.
