But it’s okay, because at the very end of the two-parter titled “Twilight’s Kingdom”, Fluttershy and the rest of the Sidekick Five get to rule on a counsel under the prestigious title of “Friends of Princess Twilight”.
Not for any of their own accomplishments, of course; obviously, their only reason for existing is to prop up Our Lord and Savior Princess Twilicorn by their efforts, and the best they can hope to get back in terms of achievement or recognition is to be lifted slightly by mere association. Their only significance is that they happen to know a princess.
Goodbye, MLP G4: Friendship Is Magic.

Whatev
That’s not what I meant, but if I clarify I’ll get sucked back into this.
I don’t think it will be ever addressed since the show staff seems to put sooo much focus on the princesses… lol
At no point did I say everyone. I only said someone. That it might come up at some point…
Look, can we be done? This conversation started being like chewing on tinfoil about halfway through, and now it’s like chewing on fire.
Why would she just go around and tell everyone that when she was around like 8 or 10 she became an alicorn?
Its not really anything important to tell since before she became one she was an orphan and when she was one she got adopted and lived an entirely new life with new ponies.
I don’t see any good reason for her to just go around and tell everyone “Hey I was a pegasus before”
Its rather ridiculous.
That’s an opinion thing. It’s certainly not inevitable… few things are… But I don’t see why it’s not plausible.
That’s extremely far fetched.
If Cadance had any way of knowing that it wasn’t common knowledge that she wasn’t born that way, then she’d have known that maybe it was something to bring up. And if she was under the impression that everypony already knew she had to do something to become an alicorn, I’d think she’d be a little hurt that nopony, not even her husband, cared enough to ask what it was, which is reasonable to expect her to mention. So there’s a reason to think that she might be in a position to mention that this kind of thing happens sometimes.
You’re making no sense.
No, I said it would be normal for Cadance to wonder why she didn’t.
You said its normal for Twilight to just ask why Cadance is an Alicorn as if its obvious that she wouldn’t be born that way which is wrong. Your exemple with the cyborg arm doesn’t work.
I think we’ve had a breakdown in communication somewhere, but I can’t quite tell where.
Meeting someone with a cyborg arm isn’t the same as meeting someone that just have extra limbs.
You are asking basically me why Twilight didn’t asked why Celestia is an Alicorn. Or why are non unicorn not unicorn.
There is a difference between meeting someone with a cyborg arm and someone that have wing and horn when you know other people with wings and horn exist.
As for the book we can’t even be sure if what made her an Alicorn is what she did with the spell of if its straight up Celestia or anything. Which does render the argument of. Luna know star swirl and the book invalid. Cus if it was really just the book. Celestia wouldn’t have showed up. So Celestia herself did something that made Twilight an alicorn and most likely unrelated to the original content of the book.
…That she wouldn’t have asked is the whole point. And no, she wouldn’t have thought she needed to clarify she wasn’t always one, but she might have been wondering why nopony wanted to hear how it happened (Put it in perspective, you meet a guy with a cyborg arm, aren’t you the least bit curious how he got it?), which could have lead to them discovering they weren’t on the same page.
And at the very least, Luna could quite plausibly have known what book it was, since she knew Starswirl too. And she probably wouldn’t back off if she thought Celestia was about to do something stupid. So it might not have just been a matter of Luna not needing to know unless Luna never asked questions at all.
I don’t see why Twilight would have asked if she doesn’t know id Cadance became one or not. also Cadance became one fairly young and i don’t see why she would need to tell ponies that she wasn’t one before.
As for Celestia, yes she had that book but it doesn’t mean Luna knew about what Celestia planned. We saw that Celestia did tried to put her aside and not include her in her little plans. After all, Twi is Celesita’s student not Luna
Yes, but Celestia had the book out in front of Luna at the end of the S3 opener, so there’s a reason to thing Luna might have asked, or Celestia might have discussed it.
As for Cadance, the answer isn’t relevant to Twilight’s case, what’s relevant is whether or not Twilight asked the question, or even knew the question was there to be asked. Her not doing so seems to imply that she assumed Cadance was born an alicorn, and it might have been good for her to know this was not the case and ponies become alicorns rather than being born that way. (Though I seem to recall reading somewhere that according to the “Journal of the Two Sisters” book, Celestia and Luna were born as alicorns, which would make them an exception to the usual “ascension” process, kind of like the Toa Mata from Bionicle.)
If it wasn’t planned by Celestia, she wouldn’t have been in that sort of pocket dimension thingy as for Cadence, she became an Alicorn on her own unlike Twilight when she was a filly around the age that Twilight got her cutie mark.
Also as for Celestia telling Luna… We saw that Celestia doesn’t really seem to share that much info with Luna.
Cadance, probably not, though you’d think she might wonder why Twilight never asked about how she became an alicorn Princess. And as for Luna, I’m fairly certain she knew Celestia was sending Twilight that book, though she might not have known what it would lead to. Hell, even Celestia might not have actually been sure it’d turn out like it did, or even known she was setting in motion a chain of events that could lead to Twilight becoming an alicorn (though she’d certainly know such a thing were possible).
A popular belief is that they are teen but that in Equestria adulthood happen much earlier because of their school system.
I doubt that Cadence even knew that Twi was going to be one and same for Luna.
Well a lot of kids don’t get their DNA rearrange without their consent when they become adults(except for puberty, but that’s another story). Plus aren’t the Mane 6 already adults?
Let’s be fair, I don’t think anyone in Ponyville knew it was possible. An with the other three Alicorns, I can see it being a “you never asked” thing. Cadance might not have been aware that Twilight needed to be told, Luna and Twilight aren’t necessarily close, and you know how Celestia is, just telling you something isn’t exactly how she operates.
sadly its what it seems to be, nopony can quite being an alicorn… Its actually one of my main issue about becoming one by someone else making you one without your concent…
No, only when she wasn’t having a nervous breakdown instead.
Becoming a Fluttercorn would be the worst thing that ever happened to the poor girl, and I’m perfectly content with her not going through it.
