Wrong. They changed it about a month ago so that you can search for explicit images without being logged in. That’s why “all images” is one of the default filters.

Hasbro sent a cease and desist. JJ decided to not fight it since he was planning to retire the blog anyway. A tweet from APM’s editor confirms this.  
PP is claiming it was all her(at least when she’s not denying it) because she sent Hasbro PR an email about APM and some other blog a week ago.

the only objective facts we have are that the blog is down, it is suspended (because nobody can claim the name, tumblr definitely had a hand in this), and that JJ will not be resurrecting it in any fashion

Hasbro had no part in this.  
From what heard, it was the result of a tumblr user filing a report to tumblr for a takedown.  
Now, JJ and the crew behind the comic series could’ve easily made an appeal to bring back the blog, but they chose not to. They were thinking of ending the series themselves. Thihs ban just conveniently occured.

It’s because of some self-entitled, ignorant, lazy, whiny, obnoxious, and hypocritical tumblrinas. Thees DWMers have no sense of honour, they’ve cyber-bullied a kid(Mayde) over some animation, they throw death threats and harassment all over the place, not even considering that they are hurting other people in the process. As towards the rest of your comment the blog was tagged as NSFW and had a warning of the content inside with the blog’s description. Nonetheless the content of that blog stayed with in it’s confines majority of the time and people within the DWM exaggerate how accessible it actually was.
