Is G1 all about the Humans? is Tales all about High  
School shenanigans? are these elements constitute  
the true foundations of what My Little Pony is as a

Yet they go do make a movie about it.
 
Be it was McCarthy’s or Hasbro’s idea(whichever  
version you want to believe),what was the big idea  
in producing an IP like Equestria Girls? what was  
the point? I mean,aside of wanting to get a piece  
from the doll market but trying to avoid to create a  
new IP and decide to make quick money by milking  
an already well known IP that has almost nothing  
do with?
 
And you know what? it wouldn’t be that bad  
actually,if they managed to be very well executed.
 
Which leads us to:

And I didn’t say Equestria Girls is a “horrible  
abomination”,I said it was mediocre and not a  
representation of what the staff is actually capable

The only good thing is that this is apparently giving  
them some numbers to Hasbro.

I think that’s entirely your opinion though, because I felt even the humanized “mane 6” were still pretty in-character for the most part. (Especially, Pinkie.) So I’d have to disagree. The movie wasn’t “amazingly awesome,” nor did I feel it was a “horrible abomination.”
 
You apparently don’t know much about MLP G1, considering it was actually pretty dark at times, and the current G4 MLP:FiM show was actually partly inspired by G1, sense Faust was a fan of G1 as a kid. Seems like you’re the one grasping at straws if you’re making those comparisons, and writing-off anyone who doesn’t agree with you.

And this movie has BARELY anything to do with MLP.At least with this generation of MLP.Is like they decided to take the less charactheristic or important elements of G1 and Tales (humans and high school respectively) and plaster them in this movie while using the current generation characters and names and doing it half heartedly (half heartedly to the standards of the show,which aren’t really that high to begin with).
 
Flash Sentry is only a spot in an almost completely half-assed splattered canvas.Of course,people will find other reasond to complain besides him.

This is the most ridiculous part of the movie.  
I can’t watch this part without blushing and trying to avert my eyes.  
But then again, I always do that…

Honestly, this very sequence got him a metric crapton of brownie points from me.  
Sees potential romantic interest dance like she’s having a seizure, what do?  
1)tell her she’s ridiculous? No.  
2)pull her away, THEN tell her she can’t dance? No.  
3)act like you don’t know her? No.  
4) Dance like she does, trying to fake it out and save her face? YES.  
You done well, Flash mah boi.

Good ! Now they are ready… where’s Israfel ?
 

Is there a “Twilight can’t dance” tag? Seems to me that there should be.

Good point, if he did do more, I imagine people would call him a “Gary-Stu,” (heck some call Twilight a “Mary-Su”) or complain that he shifted focus from Twilight/her friends, and such. So they can’t win no matter what they do with him.

If they had Flash do ANYTHING at all, people would complain about how the movie doesn’t have enough to do with MLP. So they had him do one thing (the pictures+Luna), just enough to make him impact the plot, but not enough to make people buttmad. Of course, people will get buttmad regardless, but whatcha gonna do.

So, it’s not so much the character people hate then, it’s the writers’ handling of that character. After all, he didn’t really do anything wrong, like I said.
 
The thing is, I have a hard time believing there’s any way they could have introduced a character whom Twilight happened to feel shy around that would have prevented people from acting like this. Better she happens to like some guy who’s nice but somewhat indistinct than some jerkwad.
 
What I hear many people saying is that they just don’t think there should be any of those kinds of attractions being felt by any of the mane six. That too is a notion with which I disagree. Some guy around here was even going around trying to convince people that Twilight was “asexual” in the rest of the series. I mean really, what?

Peeps hate him because it seems like he was put in solely to be Twilight’s hasubando. He seems forced, like the writers only put him in at all because they were required to.
