The main problem with Flash is that a large majority of people has decided to hate him even before he was properly introduced… and then, despite him being a nice guy overall, he didn’t stand out enough to be considered worthy of that one-night stand with Twilight (hence the waifu thief meme).

Because the ones I mentioned made themselves perfectly obnoxious to those around them in the time they did have. Flash hasn’t done anything worthy of being disliked in his scenes. The primary complaint against him is that he’s boring or underdeveloped, but that sort of thing takes more time than simply showing up, doing something a jerk does, and then taking off.

Gilda and Blueblood are one-episode characters…Heck, Blueblood’s only in PART of one episode.

The point of the character was being “someone’s boyfriend”.
 
Him being Sunset’s ex only reinforces it.
 
This scene is ok,though.Everyone and their mother know the dude is not a douche,we get it.

I blame the writers for phoning it in. They easily could have made Flash an interesting or relevant character; they simply chose to make him as boring as possible.
 
They even included details like him being Sunset Shimmer’s former boyfriend as if to say “hey, here’s a taste of how much effort we could have put into him, but we hate this guy and we’re dead set to make sure you hate him too!”
 
Made me a fan of Flash purely out of spite.

She was dancing normal earlier in the the movie.
