Starlight does often get shipped with Sunburst or Sunset Shimmer, both of whom are orange. I don’t know which of those is your one true ship for Starlight, but based on the this is definitely science metric of “number of derpibooru images,” more people consider the true ship to be startrix.

Sunburst is the one I was thinking of. And yes, it does seem your metric supports Starlight + Trixie as the more popular combination.

Actually, now you have me wondering how I would pull that off, in terms of modeling and props.

It’s only a breach of trust with Trixie if she doesn’t willingly consent first. Apart from Green Dude’s fetish, I think the only time anypone has done so was “babe, you’re going to starve to death; you need to feed on me.”

Oh, I meant before Trixie knew about what Sonata was. Though if you check back, all four of the boys got unknowingly fed on during at least their first encounter. That was the whole reason the Sirens chose them, after all.

And Adagio still feeds on Peach a little. She goes easy on him, but it’s a dominance thing, and he likes to give a bit of himself to Miss Adagio. (she always gives him cuddles afterwards when she does that…even if she doesn’t admit that’s what they are)

The phrase “willingly consent,” above, should be redundant, but I realised while forming this thought that there was definitely a point in Trixie’s arc where, if asked, she might’ve consented to being fed on even if she didn’t want it. I like to think she is now well past that.

Interesting observation about her. I can see her doing that sort of thing, eager for approval and attention.

Yeah, when I suggested Sonata might feed on Starlight, it was with the assumption that Starlight would consent and volunteer for it, “for science”.

I’m under the impression that, with the singing gigs going well, none of the three actually needs to feed on a victim. Even tho, as you say, the Green Dude likes it. And all three seem to have a lot of control over how much they take, so it’s pretty low impact when they do it to a willing subject.

As a male writer I’d feel pretty uncomfortable having them feed on an unknowing female character, even though I suppose it’s technically morally the same, which is why it never came up. But these days they don’t do it without consent anyway.

The one I’m waiting to see if it happens is Starlight and Sonata. Which should happen, everyone gets a turn to boink Sonata (or be boinked by Sonata is probably more accurate), right? Plus Starlight could get an opportunity for a first hand experience of the siren’s feeding (*), which undoubtably would help her and Twilight’s project.

(* I don’t think we’ve ever seen one of the sirens feed on a girl, which is probably mostly because only Sonata goes both ways, but it seems it should be possible).
