The wall goes back to normal when she goes back into it, and she can’t leave the wall completely. She moves around on walls, floors, and ceilings like a shadow :D

I’ve always had a theory that they were way more old-school royalty old-testament-God types back in the day and have just mellowed with age. Probably a thousand years ago they totally would exile servants for minor offenses and have a creepy castle riddled with deadly traps XD

Lots of goings-on in her castle lately. Used to be she’d go weeks if not months without seeing anypony swing by :D
She’d just find another new spooky place. I like to think Equestria’s like Hyrule and Termina, where there’s no shortage of random dungeons around for these monster poners to live in :D

Abandonment and wreckage do not seem to stop monsters from haunting places if the LOTR film series is anything to go by.

Something must’ve caught her attention enough to leave her secure wall.
My guess is that they had traps on the paths that no one would usually go on, similarly to the “Indiana Jones” series.
