I’m sure the others you’re disagreeing with here are perfectly capable of thinking for themselves too. Celestia and the others chewed him out for what he did.
Good. That means you’re capable of thinking for yourself. Honestly, Discord can just shove it up his trachea.
That’s a nice assumption there. I can’t vouch for the other people here but I’m not happy with what they did with Discord either. At all.

Yes. People were frustrated at Starlight reforming as well as a lot of the other reformations in this series. Quite a bit of people wanted some villains who did not reform at all. And some of those people got what they wanted since this season gave us 4 villains (I’m counting Sombra) who did not reform.
That being said, at the same time, if they intended on not reforming the three of them at all some people don’t see why they bothered showing the three of them bonding with each other in Frenemies. Some people were expecting this as foreshadowing that they would turn on Grogar and reform. But that’s not what happened. I can definitely understand why this choice bothered some people.
Me? I was on the fence about them reforming. I was one of the people upset with the large number of reformations in the show (and EQG), especially due to how rushed nearly all of them were.
I love a redemption story as much as the next person and love seeing villains change for the better. But at the same time, I think it’s important to have a balance and have villains that aren’t reformed either. It’s good and important to show that some people are not only capable of doing evil but they show no remorse for their actions and don’t want to change themselves.
That being said, when I did see the more of the three of them interacting with each other, I kind of thought that maybe they could pull off a reformation with the three of them.
But given the fact the three of them also kept brushing off friendship, not showing much (if any remorse), and kept deflecting the blame on others, I also thought that maybe they wouldn’t be reformed either.
So I just said to myself, “Okay. If one or more of you guys reform, that’s okay to me. But if you don’t, that’s also okay. I’ll just wait things out.”
And while I’m okay with them not reforming, I do have some issues about how it was handled. I’m not happy with what they did with Discord and I’m not happy that they put the three of them in stone (I would have rathered they be sent to prison had they not reformed).

And yes, I think you guys make a good point here. The big difference between Cozy (and by extension Chrysalis and Tirek) compared to someone like Starlight (or Sunset, Luna, etc.) is the lack of remorse of what they’ve done.
So will I.
Everyone’s gonna do the “This isn’t canon, she can’t have other feelings other than hate and spite” spiel with me but as along as Discord is considered a good guy, I’ll brush them off as usual.

Ngl, it would’ve been quite interesting watching the Trio display the cognitive dissonance of accepting the ways of friendship to even themselves while still gunning to conquer/destroy Equestria. Like a clique who’s learned to think some like their enemies.
Once again, though, I don’t buy the canonicity of these Instagram stories.
