HA!!! My theory was right all this time!
It sucks when you can just tell that a writer doesn’t do the backstory research on a character and just makes up a stupid plot on the spot.
But worse yet? The people defending these abhorrent episodes that do nothing but take an ogre dump on Spike and try to pass it off like it was some great episode.
Yep.
That’s what the episode turned out to be.
A massive disappointment.
I’m not and I wasn’t. I was paraphrasing what the previous comment was addressing and how it seemed to have nothing in common with the subject at hand.

Honestly, it’s rather ambiguous to me; be it sibling or mother, Spike was raised under Twilight (Yes, Celestia did most of the raising, but still)
But Twilight was raised as his sibling.

probably half the commenters have father isues of there own and that’s probably some of the reason for the pessimistic comments
He won’t be. He won’t be Spike’s father, Spike will be scolded/disciplined/shamed for DARING to look for some of his biological origins, and everything will be forgotten after the episode is over beside using it as leverage in a later episode to say “No Spike, you’re WRONG like how you were WRONG about that fat dragon being your dad.”

There is no other way to be. Spike at your service, dragon quest, equestria games, just for sidekicks, and princess spike all exist and all it takes is one script writer who enjoyed one of those episodes to add to the pile.
