My reasoning here, is lamias don’t get cutie marks, so she never had the big “POMF” moment where her hair inflated, so it’s stayed long and straight even though she’s otherwise the same happy, party-happy Ponk :D

What would happen if I hugged Pinkamena in her lamia form? I’m hoping it’ll make Pinkamena’s hair inflate if she likes my hug. Or does it not work like that?

Rattleponk is pretty cute. Rattlesnakes usually use their rattles as an audible warning to anything drawing too close for their liking. But when it comes to Pinkie, there’s basically no such thing as “too close for her liking”, so she’d probably use her rattle for musical purposes.
 
Also, I can’t help but wonder how Twilight would react if she walked into SCC one day and was greeted by Rattleponk.

Rattleponk is genuinely friendly. She left her family of Rock Rattlers to go on a journey of self-discovery, was found and taken in by the Cakes when she tried to hibernate in their storage cellar, and has lived with them ever since. She subsists entirely on a diet of eggs, milk, and an inordinate quantity of sweets.
 
Be warned though. She loves hugs, and she will hug you whether you like it or not XD
