Yeah I read about this. They also filed a patent that allows computers with webcams to view your face while whatching any newer production film or already released film. So yeah. Another reason for me to despise the suxbox and keep webcams off of my computers. LOL We have four laptops in the house, one is mine. I took each one apart and removed the cameras.

So you guys still think the WiiU controller is an “abomination?” (At least it’s a bit more like a traditional controller then the Wii-mote was, and doesn’t spy on you.)
 
Still, as some say, maybe this is being blown out of proportion, I kinda doubt they’ll be able to monitor everyone, and everything all the time… (Or at least I hope not.)

All large companies just patent everything on the off-chance that they or somebody else might use it in the future.

Gys, even if they patented it, that doesn’t mean they intend to use it. Sony patented a method of DRM that would render a game unplayable if not played new. Guess what, Sony patented that shit back in 2005, and there is still absolutely nothing that indicates they intend to ever use it.
 
Just cause a company patents something, that doesn’t mean they intend to use it.

Don’t get upset when this can all be allieviated by the use of a piece of tape or alternatively, buying a competitor’s console.
 
I’d say a class-action lawsuit could be in order, but that’s probably something you waive the second you turn the thing on.

It’s definitely much improved. It’s easy to navigate (other than some difficulty with searches) and even seems to load faster. (though that could be from the new firmware)
