Actually, connect can notice and verify facial structure and body type even now. To assume that MS will only use it to stop this is BS. I’m no conspiracy theorist but it seems completely laughable to assume they won’t utilize any data gained to try their best to study metrics on how often you play, who is playing, and what games they are playing.
 
Furthermore, it’s still invasive and stupid. It’s draconian at best and completely Orwellian at worst.

I am now extreamly glad that I don’t have a Kinect. Call me a pesimist or something along those lines if you must, but I think this might kill off the Kinect, I mean really, no-one in their right mind likes being watched in the “privacy” of their own home.

Translation: If you buy (sorry, “license”) a game or movie, it will only play if it recognises you and there aren’t unauthorized people in the room watching/playing too. “You want to watch Iron Man 3 with your friends? Sorry, you only paid for the personal license, the ‘watch with friends’ license will be another $10, please.”

You buy a movie(or game) only you and maybe two others can play it and it keeps track of who that is, and no one other the three can use that movie(or game).
