Btw, if you rotate your forearm right and left with other hand, you can kinda repeat this feeling. Given enough imagination, one can easily imagine splitting a forearm in two and having 2 fingers on one part and 3 on other, like General Grievous did.

and now we’ve reached the age-old question: do horses and other hooved animals feel each “digit” individually, or is it similar to how you don’t normally consciously notice that your forearms have two bones in them and it just feels like one whole piece?
Yes, I know, but growing a hand from a hoof would be like putting them together, adding 4 bones to each finger and dividing them again.
they still have the five digit form underneath the hoof. it’d be like if all of your fingers were stuck together.
