Heh! OP got really upset and blocked me on DA when I said that the S6 premiere was likely already written before the S5 premiere even aired, considering the episodes take a year to make, concurrently. Come to think of it, each episode is usually already done a month before it needs to air, too. So, production on the S6 premiere started no later than February of 2015.

I personally don’t like the idea of spike being romantically involved with an adult and I certainly dont see the reasoning behind shipping him with starlight of all people but hey, this guy’s alowed to dream and shipping is the fuel on which most fandoms run. It’s all in good fun.

I ask myself the same thing, probably because we care too much about show/characters to the point that we forget what site we’re even on :P

All this shipping…not that I don’t like, I personally like Spike x Starlight.
 
But at this point we’re like those desi/arab/jewish/chinese aunties who keeps introducing new potential spouses to their eligible single young niece/nephews.  
They wouldn’t shut up about how their choices are the best and would call their niece/nephew ‘too picky’, ‘too indecisive’, or ‘a rebel’ if he/she says “Not yet, auntie!”.  
Then they would go on about stories about how they met their husbands, how happy they are about the arrangements made for them, or say things like ‘oh think about your mother, that poor woman! her own child doesn’t want to make her happy!’  
…
