Even though Starlight’s backstory wasn’t perfect, I can see her traumaization to be relatable. And its even more amazing that her internal suffering led her to become one of the most powerful beings in Equestria.

Starlight probably saw him more than a friend back then. You know what happens to some people when they get heartbroken right? They may experience extreme depression, become antisocial, and even develop twisted world views.
