Kind of like how, in G4, the Mane Six had their lip sync for the lines, “It says that they like jousting”, “make sweets of crystal berries”, and “they had a petting zoo with tiny ewes” removed in the final version of The Ballad of the Crystal Empire.

oy, I really hope that’s what they’re planning on, it’s just annoying that they like removed her eyes on purpose.
I would laugh if there was a shot, perhaps in the cold opening of an episode, where the Mane 5 are looking at Jazz for whatever reason, and suddenly, her ears unfold from her mane. She then is like “what?” To the Mane 5, and then the opening theme
unless they say that she has her ears hidden under mane, I’m not buying this.
But on the bright side, Misty’s horn and Sugar Moonlight’s phone were fixed compared to the trailer, so it was a net gain, I suppose, haha

I think it’s mostly down to the constraints of 3D animation as compared with 2D - with 2D, you can cheat at the angles so the break in the hair for the ears is just implied, or draw it as a simple line through the hair, and our brains will fill in the necessary information. You can’t do that with 3D - as demonstrated above, the ears kind of awkwardly clip through the hair unless a specific hair pattern is modeled into it to allow them through.
Studio to cheap to redesign her hair lol, but true
It would really just make more sense to change her hair in that situation.
As Background Pony #CE0D said its possible her mane phases right thru her ears and it doesnt look good, so they opted to have her earless

Can’t imagine that being a popular decision.
Wouldn’t they have pony models where all the details of the pony are present? Sort of like how I’ve seen SFM pony models being used by the fandom.
