Took me quite a while to remember where I remembered something similar happened before:
Kind of like how, in G4, the Mane Six lost their mouth animations (and, by exthension,r some lip sync) for the lines, "It says that they like jousting", "make sweets of crystal berries", and "they had a petting zoo with tiny ewes" removed in the final version of *The Ballad of the Crystal Empire*.
