I resent that all these things the fandom and tangential media clamor for always have to come at Scootaloo’s expense. Need disabled representation? Shove it onto Scootaloo, it’s not like she had an actual character arc brewing or anything! Need an orphan? Yeah, sure put that on Scootaloo too! Faust confirmed she has parents and the current showrunners said “hey sure that’s canon”? Quick say she lives with her lesbian aunts instead! No. Make the lesbians someone else’s parents for once.
 
(Maybe I’m a bit touchy about this because I’m trying to write a comic and I keep getting asks about Scootaloo’s aunts.)

Or it’s the other way around. The Cake children are a Unicorn and a Pegasi despite both parents being Earth Ponies. Pony genetics work in strange ways.

I didn’t notice until now that Aunt Holiday is the blood relative of Scootaloo instead of Auntie Lofty.

They are not like pixelkitties imagine them, but they are not bad designs.

I didn’t forget about it. I’m worried these two will get the English dub Sailor Moon treatment and have them changed to sisters/cousins instead of lovers.

Headcanon: Scoots carries enough Earth Pony gene that she still can’t fly properly at this age…
