that’s a nice fantasy, at least. ultimately, I don’t think it matters whether there is hope for him or not. it doesn’t make what happened any more right, or wrong. I hesitate to support any advice though, no matter well intentioned, which presumes that suffering builds character.

Ahh. I’ve been on both ends of this one. Knowing it’s the right thing to do doesn’t make the knowledge that you’re still hurting someone you care about any easier, unfortunately. But that’s life. It’s another experience which, in the end, you become a more well-rounded individual for having these experiences, I think.

If this isn’t a way to have Greg leave the cast for good I wonder what’s next? Maybe he’ll get together with someone else (Coco is the obvious possibility) and they’ll run into Twilight and she’ll second-guess herself and maybe even talk to Greg about it. Maybe some spine-growing character development from Greg where he tells her to stop, essentially, questioning his current relationship to postmortem their old one.

Seems simple to me. He asks Twilight to marry him, Twilight sees this as Greg proposing to commit more time to her, they both get hitched and at the very least, buy some time to see if this relationship can hold even with Greg trying to secure their future first.

He could have responded to Twilight’s break-up speech with “no, let’s get married instead” but he just said “OK”. She didn’t even have the guts to actually say to wanted to break up but he took the hint and did her work for her. She clearly lacked confidence in their relationship but he didn’t have to agree without an effort.

Never disliked him myself, but I considered him a sort of author self insert where his OC gets shipped with Twilight. See enough of that nonsense in clop, don’t need it in these comics. Though, it’s the author’s works, if the author wants a random oc whether it’s their own self insert to be shipped to a canon char, so be it. It wasn’t shoved down our throats anyway, the interactions we saw with Twilight and Greg were relatively nice slice of life time moments.  
That being said, my opinion is that he’d have a hard time making it work long distance with her. She obviously cares for him, and likes him. But is she willing to make that commitment? My guess is no. Though it does beg the question that if he did pop the question on her before she announced they’d be breaking up, would she go along with it.
