Well, Pinenut backwards is tunenip, so I’d chalk it up to coincidence.
It is an ongoing gag that background pony’s are all given very average human names, while the main canon characters use their real names from the show. ;-)
By “better” I meant “more pony”. Not an indicator of quality of writing.

I think aside from the sad choice in the naming by the artist, this is a quirky little comic series we all enjoy and love each new installment.
Not that it makes it any better.

Dude in some parts of the world Greg is poorly named like seriously, I know at least 6 girls named Senja. Do you know what it means in english? it’s Twilight btw. Might be a culture thing but giving a kid name Ali around my country is as bad as Greg or Elbert.

That bobble head is funny and is actually one of the politicians seen a few times in this comic.

It seems like one of the running jokes of this comic is how the oc ponies have common human names. Like Tony, Conners, and Greg.
