The one Micro, I wish I had. Most of the others were kinda mediocre. (Though, I liked Celestia’s & Applejack’s.)
 
Yeah, it’s surprising how controversial they’ve become in the fanbase. They don’t seem as well-liked as they used to be. Which is funny, ’cause back in 2013 during the S3/Twilicorn drama, some people who gave up on the show were constantly going off on how “superior” the comics were to the “ruined forever” show, I remember. Now some fans get angry, if you bring up the comics at all.

Is still rememer how excited everyone was about the comics when they were first announced and the first three arcs were great.  
My personal favorite will always be the Rarity issue in the micro series.

It was from a while back, I’ll admit. People really liked the comics and some of the themes that they tackled and how dark it could get. Buuuuut that was probably the earlier comics.

I use to consider them canon but have found myself adding more and more of them to the non canon pile.

Not only does not everyone want them to be canon, but the latter is a big reason why many people don’t.

Some people only is annoyed Remane5 did’t have the chance to shine like Twilight, Spike and Starlight. The trouble with Starlight is a new character and too many people believe she doesn’t deserve that protagonism. I’m sure the trouble is the writers and the rating show, because there a lot of ways showing the best of Pegasi and earth ponies. But would very complicated to the younger fans understanding defeat a great threat without magic, laser beams and spells.
 
To summarize, the critics towards Starlight are unfair, but the writers dont’t help too.

That’s the problem. This happens quite a bit, but for whatever reason people have a problem when it happens with Starlight the most while they don’t make that big of a deal of it with other characters, I just straight up don’t get it.

There are always episodes or where a pony is the “maximum moral authority” like Fluttershy in Bats, Pinkie Pie in The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone, Twilight in Castle mane-ia and Applejack in The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000. Besides the comic relief about downgrade the common sense to the characters “learn the lesson” with each new episode. Starlight may be the savior in some of her episodes. But not at level of normal behavior.

The reaction i’m seeing is mostly straight up mockery and “Idw ain’t canon anyway”. 
For someone who don’t like drama on starlight pics you seem to be trying to stir it up.

You might want to look harder, because precious few people were alright with it.

Ok I just read this comic and it seems like Spike was the only one with common sense. So in a way, some of the other characters who should know better are dumbed-down to make Spike look good. And no one is loosing their minds and throwing fits over this.
 
So let me get this straight. It’s ok to do that with Spike, but not with Starlight?

Yeah, they had some interesting redesigns of classic characters. I liked “Heavy Weapons Guy” Rocksteady.
 
I kinda prefer classic Mona though, she was cuter, but I don’t mind the new one.

I haven’t seen much drama from it, but most TMNT fans I know are pretty cool. Like Sonic & Pony though, I see some that only like the older stuff, or some that only like newer so some are divided, but not as badly as the Pony or Sonic ones.
 
All fandoms have good/bad things about them.

Indeed. I remember some complain that Michelangelo was too goofy in the newer Nick TMNT show, (which they toned down in newer episodes) yet forget how goofy he was in previous shows/movies. (Especially, the original ’80s/90s cartoon.)

Yeah, as you said, people complain with any detail. But you know what’s more funny? Some of these “changes” weren’t changes at all. They were present in the original series, and no one complain about it.
 
Example: Actually some Dragon Ball fans are angry with the new characters’ design with the arguments like “too thin, too fat, too small, nothing frightening, it’s pink…”, but they don’t realize that some characters from their “childhood” have those same characteristics.

I guess it’s more noticeable in some fandoms then others.
 
I heard nerds used to be very militant with the Star Trek “original VS Next Generation” series arguments. In fact, I hear they actually had angry protests when the “Next Generation” came out in the ‘80s.
 
MISTIES, or MST3k fans (I’m one) also argued about the “Joel VS Mike” episodes. (I was fine with both.)
