Well, fans suspect the ego, might be just partially an act, and assume she’s more sympathetic deep down, and such. Newer episodes have shown she has a nicer personality deep down, and she genuinely likes being Starlight’s friend, and did help save the Mane 6. Or some just find her amusing, or like her design.
 
Also, a li’l heads-up. (Admins still know who you are even when you’re posting under anonymous status, or logged out. So I’d be careful with the passive-aggressive-ness.)

She’s also a loudmouth egotistical braggart who lacks the self-awareness to realize the effects of her actions on the ponies around her. She also refers to herself in the third person with her aliases all the time. How she managed to gain the favor of a squeaky guy from Arizona and the head administrator of this site is beyond me, and there, but for the grace of Celestia, would the site be named trixiebooru instead of being a mere redirect.
