Clearly, the writers aren’t doing her character justice. You think this arc will be as notorious in that department as The Good, The Bad, And The Ponies?
That was still two years stuffed with life changes and experiences that she should’ve learned something from, dammnit.
Hasn’t it only been like 2 years in-universe? We’ve had 3 Hearthswarmings, and the show started at the summer solstice of Year 1.
And what she did to the parasprites, and the vampire fruit bats… She seems to have been going away from it after the last one.
She did once consider using a “reforming spell” on Discord. And there’s that “want-it-need-it” spell too…
Well, she’s worryingly familiar with a number of them.

Well I only now got up and can only go based on this crop and actually did read the comments.
Momentary mind control is still mind control, no matter how much good you meant or how brief it was.
Twilight brushing it off this easily when such acts are pretty close to his original MO is very unwise.
Confirmed for not reading the issue and only looking at cropped pages missing context, not even looking at comments about this plot point either.
You, Starlight, supposedly meant well more than once and things went to shit!
And Twilight endorses Mind Control again seeing no farther than her own nose, what a jolly lot of good these past years have done her.

Yeah, I was selectively cropping on uploading that.
That said, “honest” here, particularly with how this cliffhangers, is questionable. I think it was fully calculated in Accord’s long-game here, to play off the forgiveness of the Mane 6 (but not Starlight). But that won’t be resolved until next month.
Yeah, he reversed it immediately after doing it. So it did seem like an honest mistake at the time.

your current filter.implies they were put back to normal though utterly confused. But yeah, for Twilight, it was like “Oh, you fixed it, that’s great, tiny mistake” rather than Starlight’s “Uh, guys this is really bad…”
Oh, he fixed them back up? That makes much more sense then!
I don’t think she liked Accord mindwarping the architect ponies, but he fixed it right up, and to her that’s fine.
For Starlight, though, she’s probably been down that trail before (discounting if “Every Little Thing She Does” took place before this or not) - her Equals Town origin probably started with mindwarping one or two ponies with her propaganda/magic and thus she’s seeing Accord on that same path.
