They would probably mostly appear as ponies in Equestria. Only showing their true forms upon full power.
What else would they make them into?
The EqG universe and how it works. No, everything is confusing on how things work in this series. They just seem to pull things out of their asses when possible.
However, Sirens in many interpretations also appear as humans to lure in unsuspecting victims. They only show their true forms when they are exposed or feeding.
So do the diamond dogs.

But why would they suddenly turn into Ponies?
Dude, why did they cut that out of her design? Too cluttered, maybe? If you look in the title sequence’s animatic she had her glasses, at what point did she ditch her shades?
Considering we’re talking about toy boxes I don’t think it’s that deep. They all ready had Pony forms on the original doll box art. I really wish Sonata kept her wicked-ass shades, though. Those were friggin’ cool. I hope she appears with them in a later appearance.
In videos; the DHX crew has explained that they’ve gotten the task of drawing the human characters at least. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got the task of drawing the ponies too.
They get paid; do their work and deliver.
I get the feeling that too few companies informs about issues.
What if DHX actually said “hey, these are sirens, not ponies” …
We don’t know the details; but it would be nice to know.

IIRC, DHX got the Dazzlings designs (or at least the human designs) from Hasbro and the art department tweaks them to be used in the movies. I’m fairly certain all the vectors are made by Hasbro, and the only thing from DHX (on this packaging) are the screencaps.
But don’t they take the vectors from the art department of DHX or something like that?
And DHX did drew the sirenes … so they could easily have shared those images instead.

Since this is what we got, these boxes sort of made me think up the concept, and I had somewhat imagined seeing it in some form or another one day. :j
But why can’t we just have them in their sirene form without having to turn everything into ponies? =(
