I have a feeling Thorax was originally the only who’d change, and maybe in a different way. Those crystal wings Thorax got were never brought up again and are basically pointless after he transforms. I wonder if the Changelings were intended to stay the same or similar, but something was forced in.

Ah yes deus ex machina, but what can anybody expect when they always use deus ex machina for finales (I can tell that only in EQG 2 wasn’t used)

What I can say, why pain me most is the biggest lost of possibility to teach about differences, like with zecora but with bigger impact (like they didn’t double same plot idea) but well nope they crayon vomited on them :D

Agreed on design; I found it gaudy, even by MLP standards. Just look at his tail. What is that even? Looks like a wing they just slapped on back there. But my biggest issue is how every changeling just happened to transform as well, without a whole redemption arc like Thorax had. If it was only Thorax, I wouldn’t mind it that bad, but the whole changeling army going from mean spirited bugs (you see how they act before) to smiling gummy bears is dumb. Thorax said it himself: he was apart from other changelings, he was the only one that was kind. Then why wasn’t he the only one to change?
 
As for the “hate” going down, what’s left to discuss that hasn’t been said before? Some people don’t like the change, some don’t mind, some like it. That’s it. Important thing now is not being silly about it.

Couldn’t take serious anything looking like baby vomit, sorry but that design is just awfull, they probably made it just like that because hasbro have some old toys ease to remodel from this and sell again, because I can’t find any other explanation for this abomination.

I’d say I’m guilty of the same thing here. I understand, some people are just evil and others seemed more resentful than they intended, that’s why I choose to focus on the more meaningful comments, which I could’ve done now too, but I didn’t.

Fair enough. The arguments tend to irk me is all, wanting to enjoy the show and just still being confused with all the complaints that aren’t as bad as people make it out to be. I do apologize for having to snark at something that already was dead for months. So I shouldn’t add to drama when I’m complaining about drama, kinda of an hypocritical thing.

look, I’m not trying to say I’m perfect or even be an arbiter of fairness around these parts, I fuck up too and I tend to seem one sided about these things, despite saying I abhor each side just as much, which in all honesty, I really do.
 
but we can really do without these fuels to the fire is all I’m saying. What I want and like the most about these discussions is bearing meaningful discussions, that’s it, anyone who has a problem with that I have a problem with them then, because I don’t see the point in them wanting to participate in discussions they themselves don’t enjoy, or enjoy seeing happen and it’s not like you can tell everyone, “no, YOU are the ones who have to stop having these discussions”, because that just will not happen, ever.

True, it comes off as annoying when you start to notice some are taking the change too seriously.  
I mean Yeah the show deserves criticism whenever someone feels something is too wrong, but at times I see some people acting like the changes are “so severe” they complain about everything the show does.
 
Someone once told me they hated Flurry Heart because she was “too saturated”, which I find hilarious since her “appearance” is nothing compared to Gen 3 stuff or Crunkcore bands.

he looks almost elvish, the antlers are cool, the color scheme is a bit distracting, i have came up with a new orgin story to the changelings thanks to this and it was far better than my first one, the antlers fucking glow when he is casting spells… thats very cool, the chest gem things remind me of steven universe, imagine this thing walking up to you with his antlers glowing in a dark alley …
