it was to be expected. These are the changelings we’re talking about, this has been the vast majority of fans’ fanon material for years and for good reason. They’re the most basic thing you can get for a tragic case, they fight not for power, but for their own survival as a species.

Exactly. I consider Twilicorn a change for the good, while I consider this change for the changelings for the bad. Glimmer is neutral for me, since it was handed poorly, but it kinda had and still has potential for good stories.

I think the change was great. It shows they’re different, better creatures now. Thorax looks elegant and powerful. I think I’m the only person who thoroughly enjoyed every part of this and saw absolutely nothing wrong with it. And, regardless, it’s the way it is now, so we can either get used to it or get out while we can.

That’s merely the radius of the magic-nullifying effect being larger than it probably needs to be, it was completely barren, unused land. It could technically be part of the kingdom sure, but as far as things go, the only real “kingdom” part of the kingdom is the hive.

Yes and the changelings reside in the Hive? How exactly is he going to convinced anyone when Chrysalis is just going to flat out knock any ideas he had. Thorax had to have known about this too since he’s a changeling too.

In The Times are a Changeling, he probably was not exiled yet, so it’s possible that between the events of The Times are a Changeling and There and Back again he was discovered to be a traitor, then got exiled, and lost hope of trying to reform the others, therefore making him wish to never return.

I was talking about back in “The Times are a Changeling”, and he was talking about going back to his people there.  
In this he was talking about never seeing the hive again, not his people.  
You need to re-watch both and pay attention to what he said.

Yeah, well, would you return there to be probably killed?  
You saw what Chrysalis was going to do to him, and even though it was never stated, it looked like she was gonna drain the whole love from him, and then probably kill him.  
The truth is they managed to change the changelings only because Starlight gave him and idea of waht to do.  
Otherwise, they would all be imprisoned, and Thorax probably dead.
