I’m really getting to enjoy this map a whole lot. Here’s hoping that the show actually goes to some of those new places like Applewood and the Macintosh Hills, or even a proper visit to Yakyakistan (I felt cheated when Pinkie wasn’t able to go in when she was literally meters from the city’s entrance).
 
If Hasbro goes with this “Explore Equestria” theme, they’d better deliver. Enough beating around the bush with new magical upgrades for the mane six and all that jazz. Why not give us history? Lore? Completely new characters from different, unmapped regions? There’s just so much storytelling potential.

My theory is that the Radiant Shield of Razdon radiates, uh, heat, which keeps the Tenochtitlan Basin warm enough to stay a jungle even on the edge of The Frozen North, and the Rings of Scorchero just crank that heat up to 11.

…Or that. That also makes just as much sense. We really only have the word of Pinkie’s maps that they headed northwest from Canterlot rather than southeast, and Pinkie has a… bit of a problem with maps.
