It was pretty much random at first, though based on the fact that PH is the only sidefic that seems to get any art these days.

You must see how people LOVES Proyect Horizonts to death in Devianart.  
No matter how ridiculous went, with cyber alicorns or monsters from the moon, it was still accepted by how it was. Heck, I have seen people considering BlackJack as a better character than Little Pip.
 
I also blame how well the world building is done in PH. I haven’t read Pinky Eyes, but as far as I heard, the entire PE universe is just a single lineal road.

Pink Eyes follows Puppysmiles as she heads down Route 52 from Canterlot to the sea (a trip she used to do with her mother every summer) in search of her mother. It’s quite short, although it’s not just Puppy walking all the way, she gets caught up in Steel Ranger infighting (which might give an idea of when it sits relative to the others). And Puppy herself seems to be quite divisive. Either way, I can see how it kinda died. It didn’t last anywhere near as long as PH or MN7 and afterwards Mimezinga did next to nothing outside the Ask Puppysmiles Tumblr until a few months ago.
 
Though Puppysmiles isn’t the most underdeveloped character out there. I don’t know how much focus Boing gets in PH, but she has so little character beyond “straight mare crusader” I decided to make her intersex for some strange reason. The rest of PH gets lots of love (hell, Scotch Tape is the only foal in all of Fo:E who exists in SFM)

So I read the original and project horizons and I’m now reading speak and homelands but progress on those is slow. So what FOE story would you guys reccomend I read next?

Depends, if you want a really depressing story, I recommend you Murky Number Seven.

I’d say Commonwealth but I’m a bit hesitant to suggest, not that it’s bad or anything. Just has some influence from Fallout 4.

I don’t remember if Littlepip was smart or unless it’s accounting for the fact that she pops Mentals all the time. I know she isn’t wasteland smart because she’s from a stable.

Anyway, I noticed Blackjack is dumber than Puppysmiles. I’m not sure how that works…

Because Blackjack is kinda stupid. She uses her stupidity as an escape card at every opportunity. Though Puppysmiles is a kid so I don’t think it would be completely fair to assess her intelligence based on age.

Littlepip is canonically of high INT special stat. Of course, that doesn’t mean she’s wise.
 
Honestly she does come across as very smart, but her lack of caution, curiosity and out of the box thinking cause as many problems as they solve. She does quite ably beat geniuses like Red Eye and the Goddess though, and the Goddess was beaten by her coming up with a honest to goodness plan (which admittedly required her to be at ground zero of a megaspell explosion, and got Steelhooves killed).

And continuing my quest to steal everyone’s characters, I finally had Henrietta Firebright appear, in the penultimate chapter! (technically she had a cameo a very long time ago, but that was just a flashback)
 
I gave her a happy ending. The rather ambiguous one she got in Pink Eyes upset me a little.

It’s hard to guess since this stats are from FO4. Littlepip (and most of the other characters from other fics) comes from Fallout 1, 2, 3 and New Vegas. Its also funny how the author established the peek of level being 75, referencing the number of chapters in PH. Before FO4, it was impossible to reach that since the level peek is 50 from Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Considering that Blackjack lost her original body after being stolen by Cognitum, all her accumulated stats, levels and experience were lost and resetted, thus thinking she is level 75 is impossible.

I got Kkat’s permission at least, though from the beginning I framed it as a fanfic of a fanfic. It seemed wrong to write a story of this scope without the main characters of other stories appearing, and I kinda wanted to write it because I felt there were still avenues to explore.
 
Since one of the main characters is a replacement goldfish for Puppysmiles, it seemed wrong not to have Henrietta appear at least once. Funnily enough she’s actually very important to the plot, even if she’s only appeared twice.
 

 
I go by this for Littlepip’s stats. I more or less consider her max level, I only had one character a higher level than her (31) and she’s… special.
 
Celestia is actually significantly lower level than her, level 22 (though her special scores are much higher, and the ‘Princess’ template is seriously broken).

I know that, Trend Micro has also gone after Lunar Magic and the Rayman editor (Yes, Rayman has a level editor) and a bunch of SimCity 4 prop pack installers off the top of my head. Apparently it’s been classed as a scam site…

Well by the looks of it, you can continue with going to the site. I mean generally if you yourself know that a site isn’t filled with things that are harmful to you and your computer, I’d say ignore it because you know they aren’t harmful (at least to your knowledge). It’s there to make sure that you don’t stumble upon a site that can potentially ruin your computer.

Which characters are already included in your fic? Are they just cameos or references?

Reggie Grimfeathers, Xenith and Xephyr are all more or less major characters, with all of the others showing up in a supporting role now and then (Velvet and Littlepip and talked about a lot, though they don’t actually appear all that frequently).
 
Creepy Voice from Pink Eyes is a major character. SolOS and P7 are very important to the plot, though well behind the scenes. Technically Puppysmiles herself makes a cameo appearance, though only in a dream sequence. She’s still quite dead.
 
I actually feel a little bad that Trigger Happy and Jammed Gun don’t appear, or even get a mention. They’re doing alright for themselves, it’s just that it never became relevant to the plot.
