I’m just not even caring, I’m going into it with no particular expectations. Just like any episode.

Do you think the Wonderbolts and Royal Guard play hoofball against each other, like the military football games?

Must be quite a matchup if they do.

What kind of matchups would there be?

There needs to be an episode where they help a pony join the royal guards. Maybe then, we can get an incite to their details and customs. Which so far eludes us in the series. We’ve seen the Wonderbolts numerous times already.

Even better if there is an episode where they try to find a successor to Shining Armor’s position as the RG captain in Canterlot, since he’s now a fulltime co-ruler of the Crystal Empire soon to be father.

For that too happen the writers will actually have to give a shit about the guards in the first place. As far as the show is concerned they’re just pretty decorations.

Maybe if they can have two RG captains, mare and a stallion. They would take turns overlooking the guards. One for the day, the other for the night.

Canterlot, not Crystal Empire.  
The main reason why SA was t Canterlot in the season 4 finale was likely because Cadence was there too.

You know that trip to Texas for Thanksgiving I was telling you about that would cause me to miss the finale on Saturday? Well, I’ll be leaving for that trip very early tomorrow morning, and I won’t have access to my computer or the Internet until I get back. …And in fact, before I go to bed tonight, I’m going to unsubscribe from this thread until I’ve actually watched the finale, because this is something that I DON’T want full spoilers for (not counting what we know about it already).

Yeah, all things considered, S5 was a big improvement on the two seasons before it.

I agree. The episodes, except for Princess Spike, were all rather consistently written. Although the ratings…  
We’re seeing a recovery though.

forgive me if this question’s been asked, but if the commie lady’s plan is to screw with time and make it so the main characters don’t meet or whatever, wouldn’t that mean the villains they put down (like Nightmare lady, Sombro, Tirek, and bug lady) would be running rampant? especally since the reason they even got together to fight evil princess.  
i wonder if the show is gonna think about that.

Well, Trotsky wasn’t the all-around despicable human being guys like Pol Pot and Stalin were. Plus, I think the USSR would’ve been better off if Trotsky had been left in charge instead of Dzhugashvili.

An episode about the Royal Guard would be appreciated. I’m still hoping for a Celestia episode or an episode where the Wonderbolts get their chance to shine, but your idea sounds quite interesting as well.
 
And on an unrelated note, did anyone else adore all of Coloratura’s songs in The Mane Attraction? It’s honestly hard for me to pick which one is my favorite because they’re all so good in my opinion. Also, I did immensely enjoy the episode as well despite maybe one or two flaws, but there was just so much I liked. At least that’s how I feel about it.
