Tag Implications

 
Right, we now have the ability for tags to imply other tags. That is, if tag X is added, then the system will automatically add tags Y,Z,Q,B…
 
If a tag is added by an implication and it shouldn’t be there, you can just remove it after uploading/editing. Quick example where this’ll be common are shipping tags, where lesbian/straight/gay is implied, but one of the characters is r63ed or something.
 
 
Given that I am only human, there’s no real way for me to figure out all the implications we should have, so this is where you guys list tags and what they should imply. Note that ratings tags cannot be implied.
 
For example:
 
twixie -> twilight sparkle, trixie, lesbian, shipping

So can we add tag implications here that should be added? Regardless, I’ll list some popular to semi popular ships here as a list for ease of reference as those are rather numerous and it seems only Twilight ships are added as of yet. Excuse my error if I use the wrong ship names here, I forget some of them

I wouldn’t say ALL kissing or straight/lesbian/gay is shipping, like what if it’s just a motherly kiss from Twi’s mom to Shining Armor? Is that shipping? or what if it’s a random human and lyra having sex, is that shipping? It’s a complicated thing. D:

Also, the various memes should imply tags relating to the template, like “unimpressed trixie meme” would imply “trixie”, and “nature is so fascinating” would imply “fluttershy, idw”.

The purpose of this is to create tag implication that applies to 99% of the content, not 100%. Gay/lesbian/straight implies romantic actions between at least 2 individuals, and is therefore shipping. So yes, human with Lyra counts as shipping too, for the sake of simplicity.
 
As for kissing, I’m aware of the fact that there are mother/child kiss here, but for the most part it’s shipping. However, I do agree that this is a bit ambiguous. I’m just suggesting, it’s up to the mod to decide what to add.

The characters in EqG are humans, not humanized. I’m sure people don’t want to add an equestria girls filter whenever they search for humanized pic that isn’t EqG style.

So how do these implications work for images that have already been uploaded? At some point, are you going to run a script that takes every Princess Twilight image and ensures that it has the Twilight Sparkle tag as well?

We might - but it’s a dangerous operation since the tags may not apply for all images. We’d probably do it on a tag-by-tag basis, and carefully.

is really neccessary the tag “obligatory pony” for the “tv meme”? if people want to filter it there is the latter tag already for it.

Episode tags. For example:

Since there are only a few dozen images under “snuggling”, I think it should be removed altogether.
