Is there are criteria for OCs?

Do you have any for allowing them here or you just allow anything and that’s why we end up with crap like this?

What the hell, i mean is not pony, is not on model.  
So really? anything goes?  
And this is not the only instance, you guys seem to have certain bias for allowing non-MLP stuff like Cteno and Chilly Pepper.

yeah, you are right, i didn’t notice them before because all them are tagged “solo male” which i filter.

We don’t/can’t police every single image. If there’s something you don’t think belongs, report it and one of our overworked mods will get to it.
 
As for Cteno, we delete all images of her made in the last year that don’t show her in pony form. I literally cannot believe how much butthurt there is over that character.
 
Chilly Pepper, afaik, is an anthro pony OC,

The provided pictures are of a My Little Pony OC. A My Little Pony OC shouldn’t have to be a pony to be considered an OC; after all, we do allow dragon OCs, griffin OCs, etc.
 
Difference is, those animals are shown in the show. Still, they deserve to stay.

There are cats in the show. If I draw a cat, is it a My Little Pony OC?  
How about if I draw it as an anthro character?  
How about if I draw it as a human, but insist that it’s still the same cat?

OCs walk a thin line to begin with, and the line’s so this that it’s hard to make distinctions. If Cteno’s allowed, I’m sure cats shouldn’t be a problem.

Popular OCs (like Ticket) get some leeway on appearing as not-pony (or anthro pony); we’ve deleted A LOT of humanized OCs because they were OCs no one or barely anyone knew.
 
As for OCs of species in the show, they have to be something specific to the FIM-verse and style, like gryphons or dragons in the MLP style and the like. A cat is just a cat. We’ve also deleted a considerable amount of stuff that people claim is from the FiM verse but isn’t, like torchhounds or whatever. Random “this animal drawn in FiM style” is fine.
 
And again, cteno as not pony made in the last year+ or so hasn’t ever been allowed.

Thank you, that’s pretty much what i was expecting.
 
So let’s recap:
 
-OC pony  
Allowed as long as it is intended to be MLP
 
-Non-pony OC  
Allowed as long as it is specific to the FiM-verse and style.
 
-Non-pony OC that is not specific to the FiM-verse  
Allowed as long as it is drawn in FiM style  
Also popular OCs get some leeway in this aspect.
 
Is this general agreement?

That is the general sentiment among the moderators up to the last time it was brought up as an issue to discuss among us. If any of the 12 other site staffers disagree they’d probably have spoken up here already.
 
To note that the popular OC leeway thing only applies to a pony OC appearing as non-pony/anthro-pony. OCs from other fandoms or whatever have no place here (on their own) unless they’re pony/anthro-pony.

Well now that this is clear, i’d like to bring up Cilly Pepper.
 
That Kloudmutt’s OC has never been drawn as a pony nor has shown any tie to FiM verse, other than Kloudmutt saying that its mom is a pony.
 
Maybe i’m missing something, but i don’t think Chilly Pepper falls under any of the points above.
 
And i wouldn’t even call it a popular OC, so i don’t see why it gets the leeway.

As far as I’m aware she’s an anthro pony; at the very least she looks the same as Kloudmutt’s other anthro ponies.

Chilly Pepper has pony-shaped ears, which as far as I can tell is how one decides an anthro is specifically a pony anthro. And there aren’t many pictures of her anyway.

or, uh, pony-ear-shaped-ears, rather. although pony-shaped ears would be pretty cool.
