If the ponies are anthropomorphised/have human traits (which they most certainly do/are), then by logic if someone is attracted to foals in MLP they can most certainly be considered a pedophile, as the characters in question share traits/characteristics with human children by design, far more so than actual equine
(not that that would make it any better really).

Take the CMC (oh god not literally), they behave, speak and are specifically written to be as identifiable/relatable to the shows intended demographic, children 3 to 12, not actual horses but human kids.

Those “people” who are sexually attracted to them and the other underage ponies from this franchise is 9 times out of 10 that the foals in question resemble adolescent prepubescent human children and not actual livestock…

All the cognitive dissonance and desperate desperate denial can’t change the intent of the the shows creators to draw them as anthropomorphised children neither does it change how these pedophiles, yes pedophiles, are attracted to them for that very reason.

Disagree. People who like foalcon are actually equuleophiles not pedophiles. Some people in this fandom can’t differentiate between the two, but a pedophile is someone who is sexually attracted to human children, and an equuleophile is someone with the sexual attraction to pony children. The fillies and colts in MLP FiM don’t even resemble anything close to how a human child looks, and their body shapes are also very different in proportions with different anatomy. This makes them two completely different kinks on opposite sides of the spectrum, so there’s actually no correlation between the two. Being an equuleophile is nothing like being a pedophile who views darkweb child pornography or seeks to sexually abuse children, and I guarantee most equuleophiles don’t even have the attraction towards human children. I have even come across equuleophiles who also condemn pedophilia and the justification to legalise sex with human kids. Equuleophiles just sit behind the a computer screen jerking off to some art of a cartoon pastel coloured pony. Rule #5 on Derpibooru even states that sexual content which depicts underage human or anthro characters is prohibited from being posted here, due to ambiguous laws in several countries where it may be illegal. Derpibooru operates out of France and Germany, one of those countries outlaws real child porn and fictional child porn involving human characters. Unfortunately so many people will still be confused between the two kinks as there always have been, but there is a clear difference if you were to think about it.

i’m with @Blazy3 but i’m going to expand on what he/she said. technically Pedophilia is a mental illness, like depression. Fun fact: pedophilia is medically defined in most of the world as an attraction to very young children, not just anyone who happens to be under a given age of consent. Whether attraction to minors is pedophilia isn’t even a legitimate debate, because it just isn’t. It’s like people equating a bad mood from a rough day at work with clinical depression, or the “it’s just a theory” misinterpretation of what scientific theory is - the popular understanding of a term can very easily be an incorrect one.
