Trixie is a piece of coal. That’s where diamonds come from. Starlight is a piece of glass. Notice how no one ever called Trixie a Mary Sue. Starlight was a Mary Sue, like Ray from Star Wars. Ray used Luke and Anakin as character foils to make herself shine. Starlight uses the mane 6 as foils. Its why people say “they were handed the idiot ball.” When people stopped liking this, Trixie was demoted to a foil to make Starlight shine. Since she’s not mane 6, very few cared not realizing she was the original 7th ranger. An OG. Trixie was a version of Twilight where things went wrong for her.

I can tell you’re a Trixie admirer like me but our opinions on the ship differ, I don’t care about the lovey dovey stuff, I feel their relationship as friends is quite realistic. I think you may be demanding too much.

Just an opinion but Startrix is a straight up disrespect to Trixie as a character. People keep forgetting Trixie is an OG. She was an independent character. Not a side kick or foil placed behind a fake diamond like Starlight to make her shine.

Actually it’s much much worse then that. At the current gem exchange rate, it would cost $280 to get all the gems to get all the “Future” versions of the Mane Six (except Twilight which you need to basically finish the current quest to get). This is assuming you have no gems at all at the moment. If you had purchased the gems when they were on sale a few days ago, you would “only” spent $110.
 
Or you could directly purchase both sets of ponies at the “low” price of $80. This is all needed if you really want Future Spike (which you can only get for a limited time when you complete the Future Mane Six).
