Buu was a damn weird arc, but I like it all the same. If only because Fat Buu is so himself. He feels like a return to the tone of Dragon Ball. In both the comedic tone, and ending up one of Goku’s friends at the end(like basically every enemy in Dragon Ball).

Super Buu was basically just Cell again though, and Kid Buu didn’t have personality. If you were gonna use fatass Buu, should have just stuck with him through the arc. Hell, they mentioned how he just kept getting stronger in fights instead of being worn down, so they didn’t even need to change form to power him up.

Dabura was just from Hell, not some mirror universe. Evil Kakarot looks to be a possibility with Super though, given Beerus’s talk on multiverse.

In a perfect world, Dabura would have been the next arc villain. Or, since he was said to come from a universe where evil ruled, a lead in to his universe’s greatest villain: Mirror Universe Kakarot. But no, we have a villain so lame he basically hands the heroes their victory on multiple occasions, but they keep letting him get away with it.

Makes Beerus a nice change of pace. XD

I always got the impression that the base form improved a lot as well, but yeah, Pui Pui kind of sucked. Real ‘yesterday’s final boss’ was Dabura, but he actually managed to be decent.

I dunno, man, Vegeta was literally uninjured in his base form in the fight with Pui Pui, they’d need to shift him back to just post-Freeza for him to be at that level.

Although Pui Pui is pretty useful when explaining to people why Supreme Kai would get his shit wrecked by Piccolo. Seriously, a light god damned BREEZE was enough to make him piss his pants. XD

I don’t know, last I checked, the standard opening to a DBZ arc became Vegeta stomping somebody without exerting real effort that would have been final boss tier if shifted back a bit in the timeline.

/Then/ he gets wrecked.

But first, we’d like to have a session to remind you that Gohan stopped training again and is now as weak as Yajirobe. Cuz apparently having Gohan learn from the mistakes he made post-Cell with his training is too much in character with the legitimate intelligence and wisdom he demonstrated as a kid and would interfere with the LOL GOHAN IS A NERD AND SUX joke that DBZ will not. Fucking. Let. Go. Cuz apparently having a fighter not named Goku be a real threat would be too much to handle.

>Implying Vegeta wouldn’t get the tar beaten out of him to show how much of a threat the FIM cast is, like he had his ass handed to him by Cell, The Androids, Frieza, Cooler, Buu, and literally every other villain after he joined the hero’s side
>Implying it wouldn’t take anything less than SS3Goku to counter an Evil Twilight Sparkle
