Doctor Who’s been well known in the US (and pretty much the whole world) since 2005 and before that as well.

By definition, I knew that Doctor Who wasn’t that well-known outside of Britain (despite the anniversary celebrations from a week-and-a-half ago).
But I honestly thought that (outside of Four’s massive scarf) the jelly babies were one of the most well-known parts of the mythos.
Oh well, never mind.
