“because what seems to matter the most to you is what Twilight thinks.”
Which is even MORE at odds with things since Twilight herself was thinking she was mistaken at the point too~
no, that’s stupid.. you are missing a lot of important details that played into that scene and the face of Twilight looking defeated at Shining Armor’s rebuttal, to the point where she just simply drops her entire argument.
if you think they should have trusted her when she didn’t know anymore if she could trust what she thought at that point, I don’t even know how else to explain your bias towards Twilight… it’s really gotten to a point where you dismiss everything else as unimportant to the context of the scene, or all of her friends’ thoughts are inconsequential to everything in your mind, because what seems to matter the most to you is what Twilight thinks.
That is precisely why they should have listened to her. Not listening to her has repeatedly caused incidents if for no other reason that it causes her sanity to slip. In fact I recall her friends even stating that they were at least partially at fault for Lesson Zero because they didn’t take her worries seriously.
But maybe if they had known beforehand, they could have severed Chrysalis’ bond with Shining Armor, severely weakening her and allowing for Celestia to score an easy victory.
I thought you liked it when people rubbed it in.
…I’ll get my vengeance one day. One day…
Alternate theory: “…You have a lot to think about” was Celestalk for “I’m disappointed you played your hand this early instead of finding the real Cadance first so we could kick this stupid bug’s carapace without her turning all of Canterlot against us”.
Also, judging from the episode it was pretty likely Celestia would’ve lost even if she chose to believe Twilight.
I’m not acting like a complete duck (I’m not even sure that’s an appropriate word). I’m just stating my honest opinion. Besides, I don’t call it hypocritical, and I’m not trying to start any fights.
But I’m not even typing in ALL CAPS yet!
(Eh, the dude has left anyway)
No, I’m just expressing my honest thoughts. And I said good day.

“If you don’t like what I have to say”
YOU’RE the one who doesn’t like what I have to say, are you seriously expecting to just make claims and have nobody challenge them?
Edited because: rule #0
I certainly do not take Celestia for a moron. All I’m saying is she is no different from anypony else, as is evidenced by the fact that she was easily fooled by Chrysalis’ disguise. Plus, there’s also the fact that Chrysalis could have still turned the tables on Twilight the way she did at the rehearsal. Look, I’m tired of going back and forth on this. If you don’t like what I have to say, then don’t even bother talking to me. Simple as that. Besides, I’ve got better things to do with my life than wasting it on having these kinds of arguments with you. I’m finished. This conversation is over. Good day, sir.
Right, dumb question, of course he does, just like everybody else. Because Celestia is either dumber than a sack of bricks made out of depleted uranium or impossibly omniscient smart.
Well…
Alright.
@BlueEyedPegasus
“Make up excuses”? Do you take Celestia for a moron? What would realistically happen had Twilight approached Celestia is that she would investigate things closer, she’d find out that something was off about Cadence, and then she’d have her unmasked way ahead of time.
Frankly, my friend, I don’t give a hoot.
Well, here’s the thing, Twilight was shat on on one episode, Celestia is shat on for every second of her existence ever since her first appearance.
I don’t mean it like that. I just feel so bad for poor Twilight, especially since, like I said, it becomes clear later on that her peers were in the wrong due to reasons that I’ve already explained. I’m done here.
Well, I guess I’m just supposed to let people shit all over Celestia without raising objections then.
I meant to say “very convincing excuses”.
