Biped CQC revolves around keeping your feet planted and taking your opponent off of his. Kicks pack a wallop, but leave you extremely vulnerable to takedowns; many martial-arts manuals advise against using kicks at all unless you’re up against someone you simply cannot risk getting within arm’s reach of.
 
Simply put, biped characters can’t make effective use of techniques meant for quadrupeds, and vice versa.

You seems awful upset by that. Which I think it’s a bit of over-reacting, but I’ll humor you.
 
Relying on leg-strength, and indeed, attacking with legs is by far a quadrupedal skill. Anthro characters are bipedal, and this AJ does not use her legs to hit trees every day.
 
The only way AJ would attack mainly with her legs would be if she was a monk (something outlandish if not that) which is not an angle I wanted to take.
 
So, translating AJ into a biped took the emphasis away from her legs. And giving her a weapon that uses upper body strength is a perfectly natural idea.

Go see the real picture then this is just an eye candy version.

I admit, I like the way it looks, but I’m not so sure of her armor’s effectiveness (as implied by the ‘unconvincing armor’ tag.)

Going by RPG logic this is probarly the highest tier armor.
