Be that as it may, it will always have been an unwelcome, ungraceful shakeup that only hinted at yet more imminent shakeups restricted to big events in premieres and finales, even as the show continued as though nothing changed. It’s the forced jankiness of it all that still has people’s jimmies rustled.

I don’t know, I feel the S1 opener, also kinda focused more on Twi’ then her friends, as well. Also, I disagree, as I still see them helping each other throughout the show in different ways if you look at the other episodes. In fact, the Season 4 opener, at one point they had to rescue Twilight from a monster, so they still get to do more then you give them credit for, and Twi’ doesn’t always do everything.

With all due respect, has there been anything for the rest of them to do in any opener/finale other than get captured since S3 finale? S5 opener, at least Fluttershy got to stealth, but that’s arbitrary as heck. It could have just as easily been Rainbow or Rarity shmoozing up the locals. I miss when they fought together in the S2 Finale, when they brought their own jobs and tasks to the table at the Crystal Fair (even though I didn’t like the S3 opening much… Heck, I liked the opening of S1, where they came together as a group and helped each other through problems. That, realistically, cannot happen again without a reversion of Twilight’s character.

I don’t know, all of them becoming princess would’ve been overkill, so I never really understood that “if one of them becomes one, they all should become one” argument. I understand fans want “equal treatment,” but Twilight still treats them as equals, and the fact each of them get their own throne in her castle says they’re just as important as she is.

Honestly, I, through a lot of… as objective an analysis as I could do on the subject, have concluded that at least in Season 4, Twilight’s reactions and outlook are quite different than before. I don’t think the character of Twilight would have accepted being a princess, especially not without her friends getting the same treatment, given her propensity for deflecting credit and accepting that things were and are a “Team effort”. That’s my personal take on the matter.
 
I respect your opinion, however, even if I disagree with it.

Perhaps, but he’s still quite obsessive. (Even some who oppose Twilicorn think he goes overboard.)
 
I mean, I can kinda understand some of the anti-alicorn/princess criticisms, and regardless of people accusing me of favoring “Twilicorn,” or being a “Hasdrone,” I actually would’ve preferred they put it off for another season, or foreshadow/develop Twilight becoming a princess more. (Or even just regard it more, or allow her & her friends to get to do more, and travel more in the show.) So while I don’t hate “Twilicorn,” I don’t love everything about it, and I admit, it did come out of nowhere practically.
 
In fact, one thing I find ironic about all the “alicorn/princess” hatred is, people like Kwark claim it’s changed the entire show/character to much, but honestly I felt her “princess” status throughout Season 4/5 hasn’t really changed much, and hasn’t really allowed Twilight to do more then she usually does in the show. Aside from it getting regarded in a few episodes, nothing’s really changed at all.
 
My only/main problem with “Twilicorn” honestly is the opposite reason from their’s. I mean, I’m glad the show is still the same, (depending on who you ask) but I kinda wish they’d do a li’l more with her new “princess” status, or use it to have more interesting adventures. (Like the Tirek episodes.)

The mouth is too big on both, though in different ways. On the second, it’s too wide for her muzzle. On the fifth, it’s open too far, with the third and fourth establishing reasonable limits on it.

Most of these are actually quite good, except for the first, second, and fifth ones on the bottom row. They’re in need of some face-fixing.

I don’t think this is actually a bad thing. Some people might be making something that was pre-alicorn but still wants to use these poses.
