I’m surprised that you didn’t pick up on the fact that BP 604E and B66A (for some reason the number changed) was the author of the story himself.

It’s kind of a “love it or hate it” type of deal. BP 141A has a good point on how some of the stories in it are golden, yet later arcs have such a tendancy to drag on and on. Plus I had to admit the welding on of stuff from S4 and EQG and earlier gens was real strange.
 
You kinda have to give it a shot yourself.

Is this fic really hated that much by the Derpibooru community? Because as stand-alone art, I think this looks good. Or is my artistic judgement utter crap, and this is utter crap. I’d understand if it was severely mis-tagged when it was posted.

Save your breath. It’s quite obvious that they guy you’re trying to convince refuses to listen to reason, no matter what you say to him.

The POV series has some really inspired bits that are quite engaging. Unfortunately it has a whole lot more really, really dreadful parts that drag on for far too long. The Mind Games stories are the former, but the second half of the Dark World saga leaps to mind as an example of the latter. Combined with the rampant and REALLY forced canon-welding with the previous generations of MLP, it can turn readers off quite easily.
 
I’m personally looking forward to the finale of the series, and I hope it lives up to the best the POV series had to offer, and doesn’t dip down to its worst.

It is very good. I’m sure that, as someone who likes seeing DT and SS redeemed (though DT hasn’t quite made it there yet), you’d enjoy it. Bit of a warning, though; it’s really, really big.

The idea, is that many things were the INVERSE of how dark stories normally go.
 
Dark World starts out as dark as dark can be, then becomes as sunshine and rainbows.

When it comes to dark stuff, things like Fillystata come to mind. That was a classic back in the S1 days.

And I’m SORRY my story lost its interest for you. But Fluttercruel was never intended to be nonsense. And she was in the story from the very beginning. They weren’t intended to be ‘grafted’ sorry. :-( I apologize.

And that’s pretty much why I left it. The crazier stuff after the whole Fluttercruel nonsense just turned me off from the story. Plus the fact that the author’s grafting random parts from future seasons onto the story. At this point it’s a really far off AU.
 
Don’t get me wrong, the 1st story and a bit after is something i’d honestly recommend.

Uh, the whole point was that she WASN’T a ‘spare’ Element. And how makings friends with the mane six would have been simpler without it. And the Alicorns and Draconequi got quantified due to peer pressure. And the BS was about spreading awareness and appreciation of the previous gens, and that they weren’t as bad as people think they are. 4

And to elaborte, I did get that far. The original premise of the fic was great. Trixie being a literal backup element was where I started to waver, and all the crazy BS with the dragonequii and such turned me away from the fic.
