If you’re talking about replacing Rainbow Dash, then no thanks.
No, Spike being revered as a “hero” was a total mistake. How come Spike got all credit for himself despite the bigger roles the other characters have played since the Sombra scenario, like, the rest of Mane Six keeping the Crystal Ponies distracted the whole time while Twilight went to search for the heart? Twilight figured out where the heart was, found the hidden passage to it, made it all the way up to the top of the castle with the help of her magic that allowed her to slide up-side-down in light’s speed… then she did the bravest thing risking herself failing Celestia’s test by forcing Spike to bring the heart instead. Shining Armor saved both Spike and the heart and Cadance was the one who restored the heart at the end.
Spike being “potential to be an actually useful Boy King” is never possible, either. That’s nothing fitting for a goofy baby-dragon who’s a simple side-kick and for comic relief since Season 1, y’know.
Twilight: Spike! What is best in life?
Spike: To hug your enemies,
See them eat muffins before you,
And to hear the squee from their mares!
Someone make this a thing!!!
You Win again. :D
I hope ya don’t mind the dents
I got it on sale at a discount store
cost me all of seven cents
SEVEN.
You got it!
Between the time the oceans drank Las Pegasus,
and the Rise of the Sons of Tirek,
there was an age undreamed of,
and unto this Spike, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Canterlot
upon a troubled brow, It is I,
His chronicler who alone can tell thee of his saga,
Let tell you of the days, of high Friendship!
He’s also unshakably loyal to Twilight and Celestia. He could easily have become the Bearer of Loyalty if it hadn’t been Rainbow Dash.
Right. We know for certain he’s very intelligent (growing up influenced by Twilight and Celestia would certainly have positive effects), and despite his natural dragon inclinations towards greed and jealousy, he has a good heart.
Of all the children in the show, he’s definitely the only one with the real potential to be an actually useful Boy King; he is in fact seriously competent and on-the-ball when he’s keeping his own base instincts in check.
That was the first thing to come to my mind too. XD
It all started yesterday, and what a day that was. It’s what I call A Bad Scale Day.”
