G1, sure, it was your average 80s fantasy cartoon.

Everything between G1 and G4, however, I’ve heard nothing but bad things about.

G1.5 (G2 had no cartoon, MLP Tales was late G1) was taking that fantasy cartoon and turning it into a heavy-handed-lesson sitcom for kids.

G3 was where the frilly girly tone really started to kick in, and G3.5 pushed that even further. Baby Cuties was created by Satan himself.

Well that depends on what generation you’re talking about. I mean G1 has had a number of people that I’ve seen talk fondly about watching it as a kid. And it seems like they had alright stories with a simmilar Slice of Life/Adventure mix as the modern show.

I couldn’t comment on the other Gens as I rarely see anybody talk about them.

The older generations were terrible. Inane girly crap with shallow characters and infantile stories. I highly doubt anyone has “childhood memories” of the cartoons themselves.

Because of the rabid fanboys?

Sometimes I wonder if the rabid fanboys truly understand how deeply grieving their remarks about the older versions of my little pony are.

Millions of little girls (and boys) loved to see the adventures of little Amber, Firefly, Twilight and all the other little ponies and their human friends.

Each degrading remark, each nasty sneer placed under the older episodes of my little pony hurts the childhood memories of people who grew up with them.

Rabid brony, “Love and tolerance!”
me, “Practice what you preach!”

Sorry, had to get this of my shoulders.
