Time to remember another MLP OC of mine - Neon Nebula, rainbowy horned earth pony with mane colored as awell..neon nebula!
 
I hadnt told that before, but she has an evil monochrome alicorn doppelganger named Faded Stardust that can take over her mind and body when NN is under major stress - she is to her what Nightmare Moon is to Luna. Ill explain her origins: Neons parents were neon and white pegasus mare and black, white and gray unicorn who, according to the rumors, was a descendant of ponies poisoned by dark magic that was freed during the Fall of Hope. From mother she got her bright colors and many character traits, from father - tail, horns, mane type and tiny bit of that dark magic. As she grew older, she got further and further dissapointed in herself for not being able to find her cutiemark. Her frustration increased even more when she failed Alicorn Exam and found out she cant become an alicorn because of bad heredity. Since this point, that dark magic, fueled by her negative emotions grew stronger and stronger, developing its own conciousness, personality and will. The more upset Neon Nebula becomes, the stronger it gets. Faded Stardust was named by NN when they met in her dream. FS told her to give up her attempts to find place in this world in exchange of becoming a powerful being no one would dare challenge. Neon almost agreed, but when she asked Stardust if she could still live as a normal pony afterwards, she received negative answer - Stardust wanted to torment ponies for her own sick pleasure. For that reason she and her dark side could not exist in harmony. FS swore that one day she will take control of her anyway, no matter how much she tries to resist, and that shes useless without power she offers.
 
Years passed, the situation grew worse for our neon heroine. In attempt to stop the evil within her, she started using antidepressants, gradually moving to heavier stuff. But even that wasnt the guarantee of safety for her”
