For some reason, that pic you posted makes me think dark and painful deaths are in everyone’s future.
He is supposed to be a hero there but he has no political title and is not a decision maker is what I’m saying. Those things were why he abused Twilight’s position.
The ponies of the crystal empire may like him, but have no reason to go to him for decisions or listen to what he says unless they feel like it.
@Background Pony #5B00
Indeed. More then enough ponies probably would have asked him for advice or help solving problems and whatever he said would have been taken to heart.
It might have still led to trouble down the line for him, if he let it go to his head again, but at least Twilight wouldn’t have been dragged into it.
Though in the Empire, the ponies would have been more likely to actually listen to his advice just as much as the Princesses and he wouldn’t have felt so unappreciated leading to the other events of this episode.
He may have gotten love there but Spike has no more power to make any decisions in the Crystal Empire than he does anywhere else.
Gah, that just makes it all so much worse. Especially when Spike could have just gone to the Crystal Empire for a weekend and had all that and more.
It just dawned on me that most of the ponies probably were really looking forward to meeting twilight and were disappointed.
